China’s import of soybean oil in October 2017

    Cofeed News: total imports of soybean oil are not much in October though the figure is a tad higher than that in September, besides, few importers now prefer imported soybean oil in consideration of profits. Imports in October amount to 59,397 tonnes, among which 30,500 tonnes are imported to Sinograin, being the major part, 9,855.49 tonnes for COFCO imports, and only a small portion for others. Notably, domestic soybean oil in commercial stocks in October has hit a record high of 1.6 Mln tonnes in light of high operation rate and large soybean arrival at home the time supply pressure is enlarged. Generally, most oil mills mainly consume their own production of soybean oil, which accounts for few imports all the time.

    According to customs data, total imports of soybean oil are 59,397 tonnes in October, up 25,740 tonnes from the previous month's 33,657 tonnes by 76.48%, and the figure is 9,642 tonnes more than the same period of last year(49,755 tonnes) by 19.38%.

    Details for China’s imports of soybean oil in October: 30,500 tonnes from Brazil, 19,656 tonnes from Russian Federation, 7,264 tonnes from Ukraine, 1,870 tonnes from Turkey, 78 tonnes  Vietnam, 19 tonnes from the United States and 10 tonnes from Sweden.
