The operating rate in coastal oil mills this week (week 4 in 2018, Jan. 20th-Jan. 26th) is recovered significantly for timely rapeseed arrivals at ports, where rapeseed crush of 101 oil mills counted in the national survey increases to 96,480 tonnes from 65,480 tonnes attained last week, 47.34% or 31,000 tonnes higher. Meantime the operating rate for rapeseed crush this week (capacity utilization) climbs to 19.26% from 13.07% last week, among which operating rate of domestic rapeseed is stabilized at 2.78% and that of imported rapeseed in coastal processing plants jumps from 28.09% a week ago to 43.1%. Generally, rapeseed crush is probably down to 49,000 tonnes both in next week and the week after next in light of deficient rapeseed supplies and overflowing rapeseed meal.
