China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 5, 2018)
The operating rate slash impressively in coastal oil mills this week (week 5 of 2018, Jan. 27th- Feb. 2nd) for machine overhaul is started in some oil mills when Lunar New Year is around the corner, where rapeseed crush of 101 oil mills counted in the national survey plunges to 38,120 tonnes from 96,480 tonnes attained last week, 60.49% or 58,360 tonnes lower. Meantime the operating rate for rapeseed crush this week (capacity utilization) is down to 7.61% from 19.26% last week, among which operating rate of domestic rapeseed stands at 1.91% from 2.78% a week before and that of imported rapeseed in coastal processing plants falls from 43.1% a week ago to 15.98%. Generally, rapeseed crush will be probably down to 27,000 tonnes and even to zero in next week and the week after next in light of machine halt for overhaul.
