China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 8, 2018)
The operating rate falls impressively in coastal oil mills this week (week 8 of 2018, Feb. 10th- Feb. 23rd) for machine overhaul is conducted in oil mills during Chinese new year. Rapeseed crush of 101 oil mills counted in the national survey plunges to 6,000 tonnes from 53,370 tonnes attained in the week before last (on Feb. 9th), 88.76% or 47,370 tonnes lower. Meantime the operating rate for rapeseed crush this week (capacity utilization) is down to 1.2% from 10.65% on Feb. 9th, among which operating rate of domestic rapeseed stands at 0% from 1.25% on Feb. 9th and that of imported rapeseed in coastal processing plants falls from 24.21% on Feb. 9th to 2.91%. Generally, rapeseed crush will be accumulated to 50,000 tonnes and 87,000 tonnes in next week and the week after next in light of resumed operation.
