China’s Soybean Crush Weekly (Week 9, 2018)
Since operating rate is generally improved in China’s oil mills after Chinese New Year, national soybean crush now amounts to 1,441,200 tonnes (1,145,754 tonnes of soybean meal, 259,416 tonnes of soybean oil), surprisingly up 473.49% or 1,189,900 tonnes above from 251,300 tonnes last week (Feb. 17th- Feb. 23rd). Meantime, soybean crush capacity utilization is enhanced to 42.20%, 34.84 percentage points higher than 7.36% last week, consequently, weekly crush in the following two weeks may be around 1.88 Mln tonnes and 1.97 Mln tonnes respectively in wake of raised operating rate therein.
Soybean crush in year 2017/2018 (as of 1 October 2017) has now amounted to 36,862,420 tonnes, 6.02% and 2,095,570 tonnes higher than 34,766,850 tonnes attained in year 2016/17. While soybean crush in civil year 2018 (as of January 1, 2018) has totaled 12,507,400 tonnes, a growth of 1.23% or 152,450 tonnes from 12,354,950 tonnes the same period in year 2017.
