China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 14, 2018)
The operation rate of rapeseed processing drops further in coastal oil mills this week (week 14 of 2018, Mar. 31st- Mar. 6th). Rapeseed crush of 101 oil mills counted in the national survey generally decreases to 69,150 tonnes from 80,150 tonnes attained in last week by 13.72% or 11,000 tonnes lower. Meantime the operation rate for rapeseed crush this week (capacity utilization) is pegged at 13.8%, falling from 16% last week, among which the operation rate of domestic rapeseed comes in at 1.17% and that of imported rapeseed in coastal processing mills drops marginally from 37.29% to 31.96%. Generally, rapeseed crush will probably recover to 78,000 tonnes next week and 95,000 tonnes or so owing to a basically resumed operation rate in the following two weeks.
