China’s Soybean Crush Weekly (Week 15, 2018)
As operation rate in oil mills is improved this week (Apr. 7th-13th), national soybean crush now totals 1,687,200 tonnes (1,341,324 tonnes of soybean meal, 303,696 tonnes of soybean oil), generally rising by 11.69% or 17,660 tonnes as compared to 1,510,600 tonnes last week. Meantime, soybean processing capacity utilization is up to 49.41%, 5.18 percentage points higher than 44.23% last week. Generally speaking, total soybean crush in week 16 is expected to reach 1.78 Mln tonnes and even to a relatively high level of 1.8 Mln tonnes in week 17.
Judging from current soybean operation rate, April soybean crush nationwide is expected to be around 8.08 Mln tonnes, higher than 7.3631 Mln tonnes last month and 7.13284 Mln tonnes the previous year.
Soybean crush in year 2017/2018 (as from 1 October 2017) has now amounted to 47,365,720 tonnes, 6.23% or 2,779,343 tonnes higher than 44,586,377 tonnes attained in year 2016/17. While national soybean crush in year 2018 (as from 1 January 2018) has totaled 23,030,100 tonnes, a growth of 5.22% or 1,144,521 tonnes from 21,885,579 tonnes year on year.
