The operation rate of rapeseed processing is seen falling in coastal oil mills this week (week 19 of 2018, May.4th- 11th). Rapeseed crush of 101 oil mills counted in the national survey plunges to 73,150 tonnes from 96,150 tonnes on the week, generally down 2,300 tonnes by 23.9%. Meantime the operation rate for rapeseed crush this week (capacity utilization) comes into at 14.6% from 19.19% last week, among which the operation rate of domestic rapeseed still stays at 1.17% and that of imported rapeseed in coastal processing mills decreases to 33.9% from 45.04% last week. In general, rapeseed crush may further be downsized to 47,000 tonnes and 63,000 tonnes in the following two weeks due to idle plants in some soybean-bloated mills.
