Operating Rate and Crush Volume in Cottonseed Oil Mills (Week 31)
This week (July 28th-Aug 3rd), operating rate in cottonseed oil mills across the country began to rise slightly, mainly in some Shandong mills after equipment maintenance. According to Cofeed, 12 mills among the 136 mills it surveyed started to operate this week , though some mills are not in full operation. Total cottonseed crush volume in cottonseed mills across the country was 25,860 tonnes (with the cottonseed oil 3,026.6 tonnes, cottonseed meal 13,049.8 tonnes, cottonseed hull output about 6,465 tonnes, and cotton linters about 3,103.2 tonnes), up 1,100 tonnes over 24,760 tonnes last week, with an increase of 4.44%; the crush volume increased 13,310 tonnes over 12,250 tonnes in the same period last year, with an increase of 94.29%. (Subject to the inspection for environmental protection, operating rate this period last year was relatively low, and also fewer companies operated due to a lower cottonseed supply). This week, operating rate in cottonseed oil mills was 7.27%,up 0.31% over last week’s 6.96%, with an increase of 3.74% over 3.53% this period last year. It is predicted that operating rate in cottonseed oil mills will be still at about 7%.
