Cofeed: This week (4th-10th Aug), operation rate in China’s cottonseed oil mills has a small decline. Among 136 mills surveyed by Cofeed, only 10 mills are in operation (some are even not in full state). Cottonseed crush in national mills amount to 25,800 tonnes in volume (cottonseed oil to 3,020 tonnes, cottonseed meal to 13,021 tonnes, cottonseed hull to 6,450 tonnes and cotton linters to around 3,096 tonnes), a decrease of 60 tonnes over last week’s 25,860 tonnes, down by 0.2%; it increases 15,950 tonnes over 9,850 tonnes at the same period last year by 161.93%. (Operation rate at the same period last year was relatively low, which was attributed to environmental protection inspection, limited raw material supply and down state of machines in most national mills, while this year’s cottonseed supply sees an increase over last year.) Operation rate is 7.25% in cottonseed oil mills this week, down by 0.02% over last week’s 7.27%, and up by 4.48% over 2.77% this period last year. And operation rate in cottonseed oil mills is predicted to be around 7% next week.
