This week (18th-24th Aug), operation rate in national cottonseed oil mills sees a small rise, mainly due to the pickup of operation rate in Shandong. Among 136 oil mills surveyed by Cofeed, 13 oil mills are in operation (some are even not in full state) this week. The stock of cottonseed crush volume in national oil mills amounts to 26,200 tonnes (cotton oil to 3,064 tonnes, cottonseed meal to 13,213 tonnes, cottonseed hull to 6,550 tonnes, and cotton linter to around 3144 tonnes), up 940 tonnes over last week’s 25,260 tonnes by 3.72%; it is an increase of 15,700 tonnes over 10,500 tonnes of the corresponding period last year by 149.52%. (Operation rate of the corresponding period last year was relatively low, which was attributed to environmental protection inspection, limited raw material supply and down state of machines in most national mills, while this year’s cottonseed supply sees an increase over last year.) Operation rate in cottonseed oil mills this week is 7.37%, up 0.27% from last week’s 7.10%, and up 4.42% from 2.95% of the corresponding period last year. And operation rate in cottonseed oil mills is predicted to be still at around 7% next week.
