Cottonseed: This week, cottonseed price continues to go up, even at a larger step due to its tighter supply. But cottonseed stocks go on to reduce under the weak upward trend of cottonseed oil and cottonseed meal, dismal crush profits in oil mills, and lower quality of old cottonseeds than ever, as well as oil owners’ negative attitude toward purchasing those scattered washy new cottonseeds. Until this Friday, cottonseed stock in 62 national oil mills is14,400 tonnes, down 5,800 tonnes from last week’s 20,200 tonnes by 28.71%; but it sees an increase of 3,200 tonnes from last year’s 11,200 tonnes by 28.57% during the same period.

Cottonseed oil: This week, operation rate in cottonseed oil mills falls down, cutting down the cottonseed oil stock in cottonseed oil mills, especially under a fair shipment speed over the stockpiling before holidays. Until this Friday, 62 national oil mills have 3,830 tonnes of cottonseed oil in stock, down 680 tonnes from last week’s 4,510 tonnes by 15.08%; and it also sees a 5,100 tonnes below last year’s 8,930 tonnes during the same period by 57.11%.

Cottonseed meal: This week, operation rate in cottonseed oil mills falls down, thus cutting down cottonseed meal output. However, as consumption on poultry products is increasing and aquaculture demand is in peak season, coupled by the increasing price of cottonseed in fluctuations before the marketing of new cottonseed, downstream companies are active in taking delivery and most oil mills have contracts in hand. Therefore, cottonseed meal stock continues to reduce this week. Until this Friday, cottonseed meal stock in 62 national oil mills is 480 tonnes, down 420 tonnes from last week’s 900 tonnes by 46.67%; and it also falls by 4,120 tonnes from last year’s 4,600 tonnes during the same period by 89.57%.
