This week (15th-21st Sept), operation rate in domestic cottonseed oil mills sees a slight increase, mainly in Shandong areas. Among 136 oil mills surveyed by Cofeed, 14 oil mills are in operation (some are even not in full state) this week. The stock of cottonseed crush volume in domestic oil mills amounts to 24,640 tonnes (cotton oil to 2,710.4 tonnes, cottonseed meal to 11,827.2 tonnes, cottonseed hull to 6,160 tonnes, and cotton linter to around 2956.8 tonnes), up 540 tonnes over last week’s 24,100 tonnes by 2.24%; it is an increase of 5,940 tonnes over 18,700 tonnes of the corresponding period last year by 31.76%. Operation rate in cottonseed oil mills this week is 6.93%, up 0.15% from last week’s 6.78%, and up 1.76% from 5.26% during the same period last year. And operation rate in cottonseed oil mills is predicted to keep slight rises next week, since new cottonseed has gradually entered into market. And it will see large rises after National Day when new cottonseed floods into market.
