This week (13th-19th, Oct), operation rate continues its growth in domestic cottonseed oil mills, mainly due to the production resumption in some Xinjiang oil mills with the increased volume of new cottonseed on the market. Among 136 oil mills surveyed by Cofeed, 25 oil mills are in operation (some are even not in full state) this week. The stock of cottonseed crush volume in domestic oil mills amounts to 53,570 tonnes (cotton oil to 6308.7 tonnes, cottonseed meal to 27169.6 tonnes, cottonseed hull to 13,392.5 tonnes, and cotton linter to around 6428.4 tonnes), up 13,870 tonnes over last week’s 39,700 tonnes by 34.94%; and it is an increase of 13,700 tonnes over 39,870 tonnes of the corresponding period last year by 34.36%. Operation rate in cottonseed oil mills this week is 15.06%, up 3.90% from 11.16% last week, and up 3.85% from 11.21% of the corresponding period last year. The supply will increase with the continuous marketing of new cottonseed, so operation rate may still post upside trend later.
