This week (Oct. 13th-19th), most soybean refineries have restored their production. Soybean crush volume in domestic refineries totals 1,968,500 tonnes (soybean meal 1,555,115 tonnes and soybean oil 374,015 tonnes), up 219,900 tonnes by 12.57% from 1,748,600 last week. The operation rate (capability utilization) is 56.20% this week, up by 6.28% from 49.92% last week. Due to the ongoing high operation rate in the next two weeks, the crush volume will jump to 1.95 Mln tonnes next week (Week 43) and to 1.97 Mln tonnes in Week 44.
Calculated by the current operation rate, national soybean crush volume in October is forecast to reach 8.07 Mln tonnes, higher than 7.97 Mln tonnes last month and 7.56 Mln tonnes of the corresponding period last year.
Till now, domestic soybean crush volume in 2018/2019 (dating from Oct 1st,2018) totals 4,959,885 tonnes, up 315,678 tonnes by 7.6% from 4,608,207 tonnes in 2017/2018. In 2018 (dating from Jan 1st, 2018), domestic soybean crush volume amounts to 70,398,750 tonnes, down 223,129 tonnes by 0.31% from 70,621,879 tonnes during the same period in 2017.
