China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 39, 2018)
This week (22nd-28th Sept), operation rate in oil mills in coastal areas picks up substantially. The rapeseed crush volume in 101 domestic oil mills surveyed by Cofeed has increased to 136,990 tonnes, up 27,000 tonnes by 24.5% from 109,990 tonnes last week. Compared to 21.95% last week, the operation rate (capacity utilization) is 27.34% this week, where it will be 1.49% for domestic rapeseed and 64.41% for imported rapeseed in coastal areas against 51.33% last week. Crush volume will dwindle to 101,000 tonnes for dismal rapeseed stock in some mills next week, and will go back to 114,000 tonnes two weeks later with the gradual arrival of rapeseed at port. During the National Day, most oil mills will maintain in production.
