2018-12-03 www.cofeed.com
This week (Nov. 24th-30th), as operation rate in coastal oil mills has continued to drop for such reasons as swollen inventory rapeseed oil and rapeseed meal, as well as delayed rapeseed shipping, the crush volume in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has decreased to 58,560 tonnes (imported rapeseed 51,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 7,560 tonnes), down 38,000 tonnes by 39.4% from 96,560 tonnes last week. The operation rate (capability utilization) is 11.69% this week as against 19.27% last week, of which it remains stable at 2.81% for domestic rapeseed; and it is 24.7% for imported rapeseed in coastal areas versus 43.1% last week. Facing easing inventory pressure and imported rapeseed arrivals, the crush volume will rise back to 75,000 tonnes and 100,000 tonnes in week 49 and week 50, respectively.
