Amid some slight declines in operation rate in coastal oil mills this week (Dec. 29th-Jan. 4th), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has posted a decline of 13,700 tonnes by 12.3% to 97,450 tonnes (imported rapeseed 95,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 2,450 tonnes) from 111,150 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has gone down from 22.18% last week to 19.45% for rapeseed crush, of which it has fallen to 0.91% from 1.17% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has also declined to 46% from 52.3% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush volume will step down further to 74,000 tonnes as several oil mills will power off their equipment for rapeseed shortage next week, but it will go back up to 95,000 tonnes upon production resumption in week 3.
