China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 4, 2019)
Amid continued declines of operation rate in coastal areas this week (Jan. 19th-25th), rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has dwindled to 44,000 tonnes (imported rapeseed 44,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 0 tonnes), a reduction of 20,100 tonnes by 31.36% from 64,100 tonnes. Meanwhile, operation rate (capability utilization) has dropped to 8.78% from 12.79% last week, of which it has edged down to 0% from 0.78% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has also declined to 21.31% from 30.02% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. As rapeseed cargoes for Fuzhiyuan, Shenheng and Great Ocean have cleared commodity inspections since January 24th, rapeseed crush will rise back to 70,000 tonnes next week and later will be 0 tonnes amid the Spring Festival holiday.
