      I. Rapeseed: stock and port arrival

This week (as of Mar. 8th), total rapeseed inventories have piled up to 684,500 tonnes in domestic coastal areas, up 85,000 tonnes by 14.18% from 599,500 tonnes last week yet down by 1.65% from 696,000 tonnes of the same period last year. Among them, stock in Guangxi, Guangdong and Fujian has increased to 525,500 tonnes, up by 23.5% from 425,500 tonnes last week yet down by 0.85% from 530,000 tonnes of the same week in the previous year. According to Cofeed, port arrivals of rapeseed will be 541,000 tonnes in March and 240,000 tonnes in April. And there are still several cargoes detained for commodity inspections. Overall, rapeseed will be in liberal supply. But buyers are taking a cautious approach in purchasing with concerns over state policies amid tensions between Beijing and Ottawa, so rapeseed arrivals will get lessened after April.
