China’s Soybean Crush Weekly (Week 11, 2019)
Amid declining operation rate for swelling inventories of soybean meal and a lack of soybean, soybean crush this week (Mar. 11th-18th) totals 1,515,800 tonnes (meal 1,197,482 tonnes and oil 288,002 tonnes), a reduction of 66,000 tonnes by 4.17% from 1,581,800 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, operation rate (capacity utilization) has gone down by 1.86 percentage points to 42.76% from 44.62% last week. Soybean crush will peg at 1.50 Mln tonnes for machine inspection next week and at 1.70 Mln tonnes for pickups in operation rate in week 13.
As of this week, soybean crush nationwide totals 37,294,685 tonnes, down 3,487,763 tonnes by 9.22% from 41,085,648 tonnes of the same period last year. In 2019 (as from Jan. 1st, 2019), national soybean crush amounts to 14,143,285 tonnes, down 2,541,643 tonnes by 15.23% from 16,684,928 tonnes of the corresponding period in 2018.
