China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 11, 2019)
As operation rate has fallen significantly in coastal oil mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (Mar. 9th-15th) has decreased to 60,310 tonnes (imported rapeseed 58,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 2,310 tonnes), down 46,000 tonnes by 43.3% from 106,310 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, operation rate (capability utilization) has gone down to 12.04% from 21.22% last week, of which it remains unchanged at 0.86% for domestic rapeseed; and it has also declined steeply to 28.09% from 50.36% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. Rapeseed crush will fall further to 43,000 tonnes next week for supply shortages of rapeseed and swollen inventories of rapeseed meal, but it will climb higher to 84,000 tonnes in week 13 for operation rate recovery.
