China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 12, 2019)
Due to sharp declines in operation rate in coastal oil mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (Mar. 16th-22nd) has decreased to 33,510 tonnes (imported rapeseed 27,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 6,510 tonnes), down 23,800 tonnes by 41.53% from 60,310 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, operation rate (capability utilization) has gone down to 6.69% from 12.04% last week, of which it has climbed to 2.42% from 0.86% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has also declined steeply to 13.08% from 28.09% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. Rapeseed crush will rise back to 64,000 tonnes next week amid inventory reduction of rapeseed meal, but it will fall again to 58,000 tonnes in week 14 for rapeseed shortages.
