China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 16, 2019)
As utilization rate sharply ramps up, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (Apr. 13th-19th) has risen to 76,310 tonnes (imported rapeseed 74,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 2,310 tonnes), up 30,000 tonnes by 64.8% from 46,310 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capability utilization) has been lifted up to 15.23% from 9.94%, of which it is 1.98% for domestic rapeseed; and it has declined to 35.84% from 21.31% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. As some oil mills have to halt for swelling meal stockpiles, rapeseed crush will fall to 56,000 tonnes next week and to 45,000 tonnes the following week.
