Amid a drop in utilization rate for machine maintenance and supply disruptions, soybean crush this week (Apr. 20th-26th) totals 1,660,300 tonnes (meal 1,311,637 tonnes and oil 315,457 tonnes), a reduction of 162,050 tonnes by 8.8% from 1,822,350 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capacity utilization) has declined by 4.57 percentage points to 46.84% from 51.41% last week. Soybean crush is predicted to be around 1.69 Mln tonnes next week for and around 1.79 Mln tonnes the following week .
Soybean crush volume will total 7,250,000 tonnes in April by current utilization rate, above 7,020,000 tonnes last month and 7,170,000 tonnes of the same period of last year.
As of this week, soybean crush nationwide totals 47,348,63 tonnes, down 3,591,063 tonnes by 7.04% from 50,939,698 tonnes of the same period last year. In 2019 (as from Jan. 1st, 2019), national soybean crush amounts to?24,197,235 tonnes, down 2,341,743 tonnes by 8.82% from 26,538,978 tonnes of the corresponding period in 2018.
