This week (as of May 10th), total rapeseed inventories have piled up higher to 785,400 tonnes in domestic coastal areas, an increment of 3,700 tonnes by 4.94% from 785,400 tonnes last week and by 50.75% from 521,000 tonnes of the same period last year. Rapeseed cargoes have almost been canceled for May shipment amid blocked import by tensions between China and Canada, and there is only 65,000 tonnes left for Shenheng and 10,000 tonnes from Australia (container) according to Cofeed. And there are currently several cargoes waiting to be discharged after commodity inspection at port. Importers are expected to buy new cargoes only after a thaw in relations between Beijing and Ottawa.
