China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 23, 2019)
Amid a further decline in utilization rate in coastal mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (June 1st-7th) has decreased to 47,210 tonnes (imported rapeseed 47,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 210 tonnes), down 38,000 tonnes by 44.6% from 85,210 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capability utilization) has fallen to 9.42% from 17.01%, of which it has been 0.08% for domestic rapeseed; and it has dropped to 22.76% from 41.16% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will return to 55,000 tonnes as several mills resume their production next week, but will again fall to 40,000 tonnes on downtime the following week.
