This week (June 15th-21st), as mills have picked up their utilization rate, soybean crush reaches a total of 1,792,400 tonnes (meal 1,415,996 tonnes and oil 340,556 tonnes), an increase of 66,220 tonnes by 3.83% from 1,726,200 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capacity utilization) has gone up by 1.85 percentage points to 50.17% from 48.32% last week. The crush is predicted to fall to around 1.75 mln tonnes for machine maintenance and swollen inventories of soybean oil and meal next week, but will return to around 1.82 mln tonnes the following week.
Soybean crush nationwide is estimated at 7.55 mln tonnes in June at current utilization rate, below the 7.81 mln tonnes last month, but above 7.05 mln tonnes a year earlier.
As of this week, soybean crush nationwide totals 61,366,315 tonnes, down 2,545,833 tonnes by 3.98% from 63,912,148 tonnes of the same period last year. In 2019 (as from Jan. 1st, 2019), national soybean crush amounts to?38,214,915 tonnes, down 1,296,513 tonnes by 3.28% from 39,511,428 tonnes of the corresponding period in 2018.
