China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 25, 2019)
Amid a slight rise in utilization rate in coastal mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (June 15th-21st) has fractionally increased to 42,610 tonnes (imported rapeseed 41,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 210 tonnes), up 4,400 tonnes by 11.52% from 38,210 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capability utilization) has increased to 8.5% from 7.63% last week, of which it has been 0.6% for domestic rapeseed; and it has risen to 18.89% from 18.4% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will fall sharply to 28,000 tonnes on downtime next week, but will recover to 50,000 tonnes for the next two weeks. Overall, the crush is still at low level.
