China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 26, 2019)
Amid a sharp decline in utilization rate in coastal mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (June 22nd-28th) has fallen to 29,010 tonnes (imported rapeseed 27,500 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 2,510 tonnes), down 13,600 tonnes by 31.92% from 42,610 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, utilization rate (capability utilization) has decreased to 5.79% from 8.5% last week, of which it has been 0.93% against 0.6% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has decreased to 13.32% from 19.85% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will jump a little higher to 49,000 tonnes on higher utilization rate next week, but will fall again to 19,000 tonnes on downtime for the following week. Overall, the crush is still at low level.
