China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 32, 2019)
With another rise in utilization rate among coastal mills, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed this week (Aug. 2nd-9th) has increased to 67,460 tonnes (imported rapeseed 62,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 5,460 tonnes), up 2,150 tonnes by 3.29% from 65,310 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the utilization rate (capability utilization) has climbed higher to 13.46% from 13.04% last week, of which it is 2.03% for domestic rapeseed against 0.86% last week and it has gone down to 30.02% from 30.51% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will fall to 36,000 tonnes next week for rapeseed shortage and swelling rapeseed meal inventory, but will climb slightly higher to 37,000 tonnes the following week; overall, the crush will stay at a low level.
