China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 35, 2019)

This week (Aug. 24th-30th), coastal mills have drastically raised their operation rate. Thereby, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has increased to 41,920 tonnes (imported rapeseed 38000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 3,920 tonnes), up 13,250 tonnes by 46.2% from 28,670 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved higher to 8.37% from 5.72% last week, of which it has increased to 2.11% from 1.46% for domestic rapeseed and it has gone up to 18.4% from 11.14% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will return to 69,000 tonnes next week as mills resume their production, but will fall again to 52,000 tonnes in the following week for the downtime.
