This week (Sept. 14th-20th), coastal mills have sharply reduced their operation rate. Thereby, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has fallen to 36,920 tonnes (imported rapeseed 33,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 3,920 tonnes), down 30,000 tonnes by 44.83% from 66,920 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved lower to 7.37% from 13.36% last week, of which it is unchanged at 1.46% for domestic rapeseed; and it has gone down to 15.98% from 30.51% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal areas. The crush will climb a little higher to 39,000 as some mills resume their production, but will fall gain to 28,000 tonnes in the following week. The overall crush remains low amid rapeseed shortages.
