China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 41, 2019)
This week (Oct. 5th-11th), operation rates dropped significantly among domestic coastal oil mills. Thereby, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 12,580 tonnes (imported rapeseed 10,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 2,580 tonnes), down 42100 tonnes by 76.99% from 54680 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved down to 2.33% from 10.91% last week, of which it is 0.96% against 0.63% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has gone lower to 4.84% from 25.67% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush will go slightly higher to 30,000 tonnes next week as some mills are able to process their rapeseed cargoes, but it will fall again to 21,000 tonnes the following week. The overall crush remains low amid rapeseed shortages.
