Chinese companies have been independently purchasing US agricultural products following market principles and based on domestic demand. According to the preliminary statistics, this year for now, Chinese companies have purchased 20 million tonnes of soybeans, 700,000 tonnes of pork, 700,000 tonnes of sorghum, 230,000 tonnes of wheat and 320,000 tonnes of cotton from the US. China will also accelerate its purchases of US agricultural products.
