China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 42, 2019)
This week (Oct. 12th-18th), operation rates rise significantly among domestic coastal oil mills. Thereby, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 34,620 tonnes (imported rapeseed 30,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 4,620 tonnes), up 22,040 tonnes by 175.2% from 12,580 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved up to 6.91% from 2.33% last week, of which it is 1.72% against 0.96% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has gone higher to 14.53% from 4.84% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush will continue to go up to 48,000 tonnes and 49,000 tonnes in the next two weeks as some mills are able to process their rapeseed cargoes. The overall crush remains low amid rapeseed shortages.
