China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 44, 2019)
This week (Oct. 26th-Nov. 1st), operation rates slightly drop among domestic coastal oil mills. Thereby, rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 46,460 tonnes (imported rapeseed 44,500 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 1,960 tonnes), down 9,900 tonnes by 17.6% from 56,360 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved down to 9.27% from 11.25% last week, of which it is 0.73% against 1.25% last week for domestic rapeseed; and it has gone lower to 21.55% from 25.67% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush is predicted to fall slightly to 40,000 tonnes next week amid production suspension, but to 45,000 tonnes that following week as some mills resume their production, but the overall crush remains low amid rapeseed shortages.
