China’s Customs: China's foreign trade rose 2.4% in the first 10 months
China's foreign trade saw a year-on-year growth of 2.4% to 25.63 trillion yuan in the first ten months of 2019, of which exports rose by 4.9% to 13.99 trillion yuan and imports declined by 0.4% to 11.64 trillion yuan, with the trade surplus widened 42.3% to 2.35 trillion yuan, according to China’s General Administration of Customs Friday.
In October, China’s imports and exports totaled 2.71 trillion yuan, down 0.5%. The exports rose by 2.1% to 1.51 trillion yuan, and the imports declined by 3.5% to 1.2 trillion yuan, with the trade surplus widened 33% to 301.28 billion yuan.
In dollar terms, China’s imports and exports totaled 3.74 trillion in the first ten months, down 2.5%. The exports declined by 0.2% to 2.04 trillion, and the imports declined by 5.1% to 1.7 trillion, with the trade surplus widen 34.9% to 340.29 billion.
