NBS: Oct CPI up 3.8% year on year
In October 2019, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) rose by 3.8% than a year earlier, with an increase of 3.5% in urban area and 4.6% in rural area. The food prices increased by 15.5% and the non-food prices increased by 0.9%; the prices of consumer goods went up by 5.2% and the prices of services up by 1.4%. From January to October, on average, the overall consumer prices were up by 2.6% from the same period last year.
In October, the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) increased by 0.9% month on month, with an increase of 0.8% in urban area and 1.2% in rural area. Among them, the price of foodstuff, non-foodstuff, and consumer goods went up by 3.6%, 0.2%, 1.4% respectively, while services remained flat.
