This week (Nov. 4-Nov. 8), hog price nationwide continues to recede from high levels. As of this Friday, the average price index is 38.86 yuan/kg, a decrease of 1.44 yuan/kg or 3.6% from 40.3 yuan/kg last Friday and an increase of 25.99 yuan/kg or 201.9% from 12.87 yuan/kg the same period last year.

This week, nationwide average profit of breeding of per purchased pig is 1828.69 yuan, down by 7.2% from 1971.55 yuan last week and up by 1726.76 yuan or 1694.1% from 101.93 yuan the same period last year.
