This week (Nov. 9th-15th), operation rates for rapeseed crush have slightly risen in coastal regions. The crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 44,960 tonnes (imported rapeseed 43,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 1,960 tonnes), up 3,500 tonnes by 8.44% from 41,460 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has moved up to 8.97% from 8.28% last week, of which it remains at 0.73% for domestic rapeseed; and it has gone higher to 20.82% from 19.13% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The supply of imported rapeseed is decreasing as the import still gets impeded by pending issues between China and Canada. The crush is predicted to fall slightly to 34,000 tonnes next week and to 25,000 tonnes that following week as most mills will suspend production amid rapeseed shortages.
