China’s Foreign Ministry: China-US trade negotiations in line with mutual interests
China has been taking a consistent and clear stance in trade negotiations with the United States and making continuous efforts in addressing and managing issues through constructive talks; China insists that trade talks must be based on the principles of equal footing and mutual respect, and the deal must be of mutual benefit and win-win results, said the spokesperson of China’s Foreign Ministry on December 13, in response to foreign reports that suggest a China-US trade deal could be signed very soon.
She also said that bullish stock markets in the US and Europe due to a potential trade deal show expectations of a trade agreement between China and the US. A deal is in line with the fundamental interests of the two peoples.
