This week (Dec. 21-27), with a slight rise in operation rates among coastal regions, the crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 47,000 tonnes (imported rapeseed 47,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 0 tonne), up 5,000 tonnes or 11.9% from 42,000 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has been raised to 9.38% from 8.38% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it has moved higher to 22.76% from 20.34% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush is forecast to decrease again to 32,000 tonnes next week and 20,000 tonnes that following week for a lack of supply in some mills. Due to rapeseed shortages, the overall crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
