According to final detailed investigation and verification by Cofeed, soybean crush in oil mills in December totals 8,100,800 tonnes (meal 6,399,632 tonnes and oil 1,539,152 tonnes), up 974,700 tonnes or 13.67% from 7,126,100 tonnes in November and up by 6.53% from 7,604,000 tonnes the same period last year.
 
Soybean crush nationwide totals 21,918,700 tonnes in the crushing year 2019/2020 (from Dec. 1st, 2019), down 1,138,800 tonnes by 4.93% from 23,057,500 tonnes in 2018/2019. In calendar year 2019 (from Jan. 1st, 2019), national soybean crush totals 83,934,900 tonnes, down 4,654,952 tonnes by 5.54% from 88,589,852 tonnes in 2018.

According to Chinese customs, China imported 8.2776 mln tonnes of soybeans in November 2019, up by 2.0962 mln tonnes or 33.91% from 6.1814 mln tonnes in the previous month and down 3.3438 mln tonnes or 4.06% from 82.3122 mln tonnes the same period last year.
 
According to Cofeed, there were 143 cargoes with 9.244 mln tonnes of soybeans arriving at domestic port in December 2019. And The import is predicted to be 113 cargoes with 7.402 mln tonnes for January 2020, 5 mln tonnes for February and 5.10 mln tonnes for March. Statistics will be updated every week on account of variable and unstable buying.
 
Monthly carryover stocks at ports in China
 
Soybean stocks rally in December, for the arrivals reach up to 9,240,000 tonnes. By the end of December, domestic imported soybean stocks total 5,202,000 tonnes, up by 810,000 tonne or 18.44% from 4,392,000 tonnes in November and down by 20.40% from 6,535,500 tonnes of the corresponding period last year. The stocks are predicted to increase further with huge imports arriving at ports in January.
