China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 1, 2020)
This week (Dec. 28-Jan. 3), with a slight decline in operation rates among coastal regions, the crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 31,000 tonnes (imported rapeseed 31,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 0 tonne), down 16,000 tonnes or 34.04% from 42,000 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) has gone down to 6.19% from 9.38% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it has moved lower to 15.01% from 22.76% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. The crush is forecast to decrease to 20,000 tonnes both the next two weeks for a lack of supply in some mills. Due to rapeseed shortages, the overall crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
