According to China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MOA), broiler chick slaughter for 2019 rose by 13.2% year on year, and waterfowl increased even more. Preliminary estimate suggested that the poultry meat production increased by more than 15%, about 3 mln tones, which had been rare in the past years. Besides, the rise of about 3% in beef and mutton production, 5.7% in egg production and 5.75 in milk production, all were significantly higher than the past-five-year average.
