China’s Rapeseed Crush Weekly (Week 7, 2020)
This week (Feb. 8-14), there is a further increase in operation rates among coastal mills. Rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 41,000 tonnes (imported rapeseed 41,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 0 tonne), up 25,000 tonnes or 156.25% from 16,000 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 8.18% this week from 3.19% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it moves higher to 19.85% this week from 7.75% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. With a lack of rapeseed supply in the next two weeks, rapeseed crush will fall to 37,000 tonnes and 22,000 tonnes, respectively. Due to rapeseed shortages, the overall crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
