This week (Feb. 29-Mar. 6), there is a slight increase in operation rates among coastal mills. Rapeseed crush in 101 domestic mills surveyed by Cofeed has totaled 30,000 tonnes (imported rapeseed 30,000 tonnes and domestic rapeseed 0 tonne), up 5,000 tonnes or 20% from 25,000 tonnes last week. Meanwhile, the operation rate (capability utilization) goes up to 5.99% this week from 4.99% last week, of which it is 0% for domestic rapeseed; and it moves higher to 14.53% this week from 12.11% last week for imported rapeseed in coastal regions. As mills resume production in the next two weeks, the crush is predicted to increase to 50,000 tonnes, respectively. Due to rapeseed shortages, the overall crush remains at a relatively low level at present.
