Weekly Hog Price and Breeding Margins in China (Week 18, 2020)
I.Hog Price
This week (Apr. 24-30, 2020), hog price falls again around the country. As of this Friday, the average price index is 32.43 CNY/kg, a decrease of 0.68 CNY/kg or 2.10% from 33.11 CNY/kg last Friday and an increase of 16.97 CNY/kg or 109.80% from 15.46 CNY/kg the same period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 867.69 CNY per head nationwide, a decrease of 69.45 CNY/head or 7.4% from 937.14 CNY last Friday; that up by 849.46 CNY or 4659.70% from -11.66 CNY the same period last year.
