Weekly Hog Price and Breeding Margins in China (Week 19, 2020)
I. Hog Price
This week (Apr. 30-May. 8), hog price keeps falling around the country. And the average price index is 30.64 CNY/kg, a decrease of 1.79 CNY/kg or 5.50% from 32.43 CNY/kg last Thursday and an increase of 15.20 CNY/kg or 98.40% from 15.44 CNY/kg the corresponding period last year.

II. Breeding Margins
This week, the breeding margin of purchased piglet is 743.29 CNY per head nationwide, a decrease of 124.40 CNY/head or 14.3% from 867.69 CNY last Thursday; that increases by 737.56 CNY or 12871.90% from 5.73 CNY a year earlier.
